Prisoner of Death

Due to our being generally busy and to the fact that I'm sure many of you have had time taken up by New Year's, we're gonna be delaying the shift change by a day. We know we just did a delay, but... holiday times and everything! D8 This should be the last one for a while!

Anyway, we hope everyone has a happy new 2010! ♥

I just found out that what I thought was going to be a half day trip tomorrow is, in fact, going to be more like two days, so I'm calling a hiatus for the 1st and 2nd. I'll get posts I owe in backthreads up tonight, but it's unlikely that I'll have a chance to make any further replies until the 3rd (or maybe the 2nd, depending on when I get back in).

I figured I'd post this up already, even though it is a bit early.

ANYWAY. Next week I'll be starting with exams that determine whether I'll graduate or not, and they'll last for about five weeks. Though I probably won't completely disappear from the face of the internet, I figure it'd be better to call in a hiatus. This hiatus will last through nightshift 46 and Dayshift 47. Provided that my school doesn't pull a stunt and changes the dates (it wouldn't surprise me), I should be back right in time to join in on Nightshift 47. This hiatus applies for Scar, Tyki Mikk and Yakushiji Tenzen.

I'll probably still lurk around this place, though, so I probably won't completely disappear. And yes, I do intend to send in that app I had in mind even despite my exams provided that I finish it in time.

Sorry for any inconveniences and such. I will at least still be available for some backthreading for a couple days.

GOODBYE, FEY!

First off, some very belated news that we should have posted about way back in the beginning of November when it actually happened: Fey (theladyfeylene), one of the original founders of damned and landels_redux, player of damned_radio/mister_radio, monster-creator, Doyleton and Grounds map-maker, list-writer, plotter, oldest remaining player from the original landels, and all-around awesome person who's been with us through a lot of tough spots, has stepped down from her position of Head Mod. We wish her the best and we're so happy to have had the pleasure of co-modding with her. ♥


WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE RP

Despite her departure, Fey is graciously allowing us to use all the work she's done for the RP however we want, but she's let us know that she's uncomfortable with the prospect of us using Mr. Radio/Alec Doyle without her. Because of this, we're going to have to discontinue the Radio-Resurrection arc we initiated through the zombie event, so apologies for that ending up being a tangent! D8 Court and I will now be trying to plan out a new overarching plot, so hopefully we'll be able to come up with something okay!

As another after-effect of Fey's leaving, we're going to be talking to NPC Mods about new methods we can use for monster creation, so look forward to a post to the OOC comm in regards to that! We're also going to be looking for someone(s) to take up some map-making duties, since Fey and I generally did that, and now Fey's gone and I... never end up getting around to it. D8 Anyway, we'll be posting up more details about all of that at some point!

I know that some people have expressed interest in an official damned HMD meme over the years, and I think we're finally ready to give it a try. Although the due date for our layout contest is tomorrow, we're sad to report that we haven't received any submissions at all! D8 So... should we give submitters another month? Or should we call the contest a lost cause and have someone in particular do the layout? Let us know your thoughts!

"Hello, everyone, and I hope you found productive endeavors in both your music-making and your therapy sessions! Now, our nurses will be escorting all of you to your rooms and to your delicious dinners. Tonight, we're serving moist slices of turkey breast covered in gravy and served with mashed potatoes and grilled artichoke. Also available are our usual salad and drink choices, as well as a to-die-for devil chocolate cake dessert!

"...Mm, yes, I do think I'll have to partake in some of that myself! I trust you'll all enjoy it as much as I do, and I'll speak with you again shortly!"

The intercom clicked off.
